𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 & 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙨𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 – 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚. 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 – 𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙪𝙮 𝙨𝙤… 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙖 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖 𝙣𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙙.

“Pasta” is one of those hard-to-find types. He is in the prime of his life at 10yrs and stands 15h tall, is well bred, has a traceable history, an admirable resume & has been properly cared for (but not babied). He has seen the sights, heard the noises & earned his keep but has never been rode hard & put away wet.

He is an accomplished 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 horse. He will drag as many calves to the fire as you can catch. He is a reliable one-man doctoring mount for pasture roping. You will never get out run if you miss your sneak loop in the pasture. He will cow right up like a horse half his size if you ask him to. He will work any gate. He handles snuffy bovines, rank colts, is strong on a rope & you can maneuver him without him anticipating. Pick up horse “prospect”? Yes.

He is so smooth to ride that the only thing you can’t do off him 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 is dally lol. He is a fancy, lofty & mesmerizing mover that shouldn’t be overlooked if you are looking for a 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 or 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 prospect too. He gets through bad terrain, bush, mud, water, etc with ease. He will lope around collected or one handed on a loose rein – he is very adaptable.

He is well started on the 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐬. He will do slow work all day if that’s what you want, he is easy to haul, has the brain to handle the pressure & the speed to be very competitive if given the consistent opportunity (he has never had the chance to get focused or seasoned). He is big strided, fun to ride & once his starts inhaling all 3 barrels like he does on 1st – look out lol. He goes in & leaves flat footed & is ready to be your next all-star. You can ask him to fly but when you ask him to whoa up, he’ll come right back to you.

He has not been arena roped off him in the years that we have had him, but he was well started on the 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 with no issues when we got him.

He has been to the 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬, badlands & ridden in a lot of places by all types of riders. The common theme with everyone who has swung a leg over him, has enjoyed him & I am happy to pass along contact info of these people who have nothing to gain by telling you anything but the truth about him.

He has no vices – he does not halter pull, he will stand in a tie stall & to the trailer. He is not cinchy, cold backed, bad w/the farrier, hard to bath, deworm or 💉. He does not buck, bolt, bite, rear, kick, crow hop or get on the muscle. He is predictable, safe & fun – no surprises with him, he wears his heart on his sleeve, doesn’t like to get in trouble & is easily disciplined if he needs it.

Pasta is 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 & 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲. He has had no (& requires no) maintenance with a recent vet check, teeth float, sheath cleaning, deworming, 💉 & front feet xrays to corroborate. He is straight legged, travels straight, big footed, good boned, blemish free, no brands & accustomed to being shod but you keep him how you want.

Pasta is a horse that movement comes easy to & therefore he never gets sour with work. He is the type of horse that can do every job but does not need a job to stay predictable. He is a perfect balance of whoa & go & can be ridden by anyone who is not intimidated by a horse that will respond the first time he is asked to do something – not in a hair trigger type of way – but he will respond to your cues.

Whether you are a seasoned competitor in the arena, a HSR student 👀 for a horse to bring along a worthy horse to the next level, a person looking for a go-to ranch horse or a semi-retired senior looking for a smooth weekend ride – Pasta is worthy of your👀 & a no regrets type of horse. He will step up or tone down to any level of rider.

Now, because no horse is perfect so I will pick him apart by saying this: he has a Princess side to his disposition which loves wearing a blanket in every season if you’ll let him & he will wear his broken heart on his sleeve if you give him a spanking. Conformationally, the only things I could complain about is that he will grow flat footed on the front if you leave him for months on end without at least getting a trim & yes, he can look like a llama sometimes but… he rides around level headed & this “build” has never hindered his ability or caused an issue with any task – it is just him & you’ll mostly only notice that higher neck set when he is striking a pose lol.

Another thing I can promise you is this… you could easily wear out a truck finding a comparable one in reliability, versatility, ability, soundness & promise. This horse is exactly as I say he is & I don’t have a single reason to misrepresent him in any way. He has never done us a day wrong & is only advertised because the girls never get to any jackpots to enhance his barrel career, he is too nice of a horse to spend another winter in the feedlot & he should def be someone’s #1 no matter what the adventures.
