Roxy

Roxy is a 6yr old grade mare Standing at 14.2 hands.

We’ve had her since last fall and as far as we can tell she hadn’t been handled consistently until this summer. She’s proven to be a fun little horse to explore trails on, pleasant to ride, easy to catch, trailers well.

All summer she’s been guiding rides and additionally spent 6 days in the backcountry where she was hobbled, crossed creeks, and lead packhorses.

She’s best suited to a strong intermediate or advanced rider. She will require a patient rider with soft hands. Someone that can dole out the occasional discipline, then forgive her when she does the right thing.

We don’t believe it’s in her nature to buck. She’s encountered many hikers, dogs, highway traffic, and helicopters without incident, she acts confident when she has a confident rider.

We’d like her to go to a good barn as she continues to develop trust, respect, and confidence.

she’s unfortunately too small for our needs. Biggest vice is that she’s impatient with the farrier, she will most likely require mild sleepy stuff (dorm).
