Calypso

Calypso is a once in a lifetime kinda horse. She is an 8 year old, 14.2 hand, Spotted Bay Grade Quarter Horse Mare. She is gentle, quiet and easy to get along with! This girl one hand neck reins, and is an easy stopper. This mare is never agitated to do her job and is a pleaser. If you are looking for a nice, well broke mare with tons of experience then look no further. This girl is beautifully built and flashy with good feet, and a pretty head and neck. She is extremely gentle and calm, has never offered to buck, rear, bite, or kick, and no matter what you ask of her, she tries very hard to do it. This mare is good-minded and willing. Since we’ve had her we have been using her to pony colts, trail ride and just play on. My 13 year old daughter has been using her to work her colts, and she gives them no mind. She has a good foundation and is nicely broke, with an excellent stop, a light mouth, and plenty of athletic ability. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture or on the trails, she crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. She can be ridden out by herself or with other horses and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Calypso has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. This girl has been around all sorts of animals and pays them no mind. She has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul, and shoe.
